Job Summary:

Provide an elite level of dining service at Sprouts Natural Foods Café to all members and clients of Arden Hills by meeting or exceeding all standards within excellent service, professionalism, efficiency and productivity.  You will be a part of a dynamic team in an encouraging training process designed to give you the tools to deliver service with warmth and efficiency in a unique member’s club environment. Employment Status:  Regular, Part-Time

Essential Functions:

  • Exceed all standards within all aspects of the job, including but not limited to appearance, guest interactions, interpersonal interactions, job performance, and promptness, attendance.

  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to encourage an environment of impeccable teamwork and service.

  • Follow procedures as set by and with the support of Service Manager and Supervisor.

  • Greet and interact with all guests with that come in contact with the café area.

  • Ensure that the member dining area is clean and appealing to all guests.

  • Ensure appearance policy is adhered to and the individual is professionally presentable in accordance with Arden Hills’ Policy and Procedures at all times.

  • Ensure that all members, employees, and guests are properly charged for items purchased.

  • Ensure that all items are stocked and cleanliness is consistent.

  • Light prep or production of food including but not limited to salads, sandwiches and shakes.

  • Maintain fresh stock of foods and prep items. Use labels, dating, and time and temperature logs to ensure food is up to standard quality and freshness.

  • Utilize waste logs and transfer logs to ensure proper food cost.

  • Utilize and follow all recipes and SOP’s to ensure proper food cost, flavor, presentation, and quality of all menu items.

  • Ensure menu consistency so that every item is produced efficiently and correctly every time it is ordered.

  • Ensure product knowledge.

  • Ensure that health and safety codes are considered and implemented in all café operations.

  • Work in conjunction with the Supervisor and Service Manager to meet all department goals including sales, labor, and food cost.

  • Maintain the over all cleanliness of all machines and equipment within the café.

  • Exceed all guidelines set forth by California health code when handling food.

  • Attend all meetings or mandatory events that are required within your schedule.

  • Follow all proper Standard Operating Procedures for usage of equipment to ensure safety and maintenance of the equipment.


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

  • High School Diploma is required.

  • Must have valid CA Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Minimum Experience required:

  • Previous customer service experience required.

  • Previous food handling experience is preferred.           

Skills Required:

  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to all clients.

  • Ability to work with a large team.

  • Ability to work and multitask in a high pressure environment.

  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

  • Efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

  • Ability to operate a register and POS program.


  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
